2019 AGM Award Winners
At our AGM on Tuesday 3rd September we presented our 3 new annual awards:
- The Vanessa Cowell Memorial Shield for Outstanding Contribution to Saffron Players was awarded to our front of house manager Clare Nicol.
- The Young Performer Trophy went to the very talented Lucy Chappell, who played the outstanding title role in Alice In Wonderland.
- The Comedy Spoon Trophy was awarded to our Alice In Wonderland Dame Rob Fernall, for flashing the audience (including our NODA rep)
on opening night!
Well done to our winners and thank you to Stephen Dexter for providing the photos.

Peter Pan 2019 Summer Workshop
This is your chance to get a sneak peek at the Peter Pan script and hear what the plans will be for our upcoming production, prior to the read-through and auditions in September 2019. In the workshop, we will be looking at the characters, scenes, songs and will even put together a scene from the script. You'll also have the chance to ask our backstage and production crew any questions.
All acting and non-acting folks are welcome, and please invite anyone who is interested in joining Saffron Players.
When: Sunday 4th August 2019, 2pm-6pm
Where: Saffron Walden Town Hall

Note: Both current Players members and non-members are welcome! For non-members (those who did not pay subs during this past year or were not part of the most recent Alice in Wonderland production), a £5 charity donation will be required.

NODA Awards 2018 - We Won!
NODA Awards Update - We Won!
On 12th May 2019, our 2018 pantomime production of Snow White (and the Seven Minions) won the NODA East, District 7 award for Best Pantomime.
Congratulations to the cast and crew, who all made the show the success it was.
​
Congratulations also to our friends at the Saffron Walden Musical Theatre Company who took home the awards of Best Musical, Best Technical and Best Production for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

NODA Awards 2018 Nomination
Our 2018 pantomime production of Snow White (and the Seven Minions) has been nominated in the NODA East, District 7 awards for Best Pantomime.
The awards ceremony takes place in May 2019.
